Tour policy,
how to book
During the Edo period(1603-1867),Kanazawa flourished as a castle town of the Kaga Clan. The lord Maeda, the second biggest next to the Tokugawa shogunate, ruled the Kaga Domain for almost 270 years. Many traditional arts and crafts have developed and flourished under the sponsorship and encouragement of the lord Maeda. Many historic sites, and traditional arts and crafts worth visiting are preserved. They are, for example Kenrokuen garden, Kanazawa castle park, Samurai residence district, Geisha entertainment district, Kutani pottery kiln, Kanazawa lacquer-ware shop, gold leaf workshop, Kaga-yuzen silk dyeing museum, Noh play museum, etc. Kanazawa is a gastronomic city, too. Food is prepared with fresh fish and vegetables, which are produced locally.
